Pineapple Cottage Cheese Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (6 oz.) pkg. lemon gelatin
    2 c. cottage cheese
    1 (20 oz.) can crushed pineapple in heavy syrup, drained
    1 c. mayonnaise
    dash of salt
    juice of 1 lemon
Preparation
    Prepare gelatin using 2 cups of water.
    Let cool and set in soft gel (do not put in icebox).
    This takes about 3 hours.
    Whip vigorously.
    Put cottage cheese through a food mill or press with the back of a spoon through a strainer.
    Add to pineapple, mayonnaise, salt and lemon.
    Chill in 12 individual molds or a 2-quart flat Pyrex dish which has been greased with mayonnaise. Serves 12.
