Deviled Clams - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 doz. clams
    1 1/2 slices bread
    3 Tbsp. butter
    1/2 small minced onion
    3 Tbsp. flour
    1/2 c. cream
    dash of pepper
    1/4 tsp. poultry seasoning
    1/2 tsp. celery seed
Preparation
    Grind alternately the clams and slices of bread.
    Saute in butter the onion.
    Add flour, cream, pepper, poultry seasoning and celery seed.
    Combine the two mixtures.
    Moisten with a little clam juice if needed.
    Simmer 5 minutes; fill shells.
    Top with buttered cracker crumbs.
