Fruit Cobbler - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 stick margarine
    1 large can fruit
    1/2 c. sugar (omit if fruit is already sweetened)
    1 c. liquid (juice from fruit plus water to make the c. of liquid)
    1 c. self-rising flour
    1 c. sugar
    2/3 c. milk
Preparation
    Put butter, fruit and sugar (if needed) and the cup of liquid in an 8 x 8 x 2-inch pan.
    Heat until butter is melted.
    Mix flour and sugar; mix in milk, stirring until smooth.
    Pour batter evenly over fruit mixture.
    (Batter usually goes to bottom but rises while cooking.)
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 25 minutes.
    Serve warm.
    It's great with scoop of vanilla ice cream on top.
    Suitable for freezing.
