Pie Meringue - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 Tbsp. cornstarch
    2 Tbsp. cold water
    1 1/2 c. boiling water
    6 Tbsp. sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla
    3 egg whites
    pinch of salt
Preparation
    Blend cornstarch and cold water in a saucepan.
    Add boiling water.
    Cook, stirring, until clear and thickened.
    Let stand until cold.
    Beat egg whites until foamy with mixer at high speed. Gradually add sugar and beat until thick.
    With mixer at low speed, add salt, vanilla and cornstarch.
    Mix well.
    Turn mixer to high speed and beat until you can form stiff peaks.
    Spread over cooled pie filling and bake at 350\u00b0 for 15 minutes.
