Salisbury Steaks - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ground beef
    1/3 c. bread crumbs
    1 egg
    1 large sliced onion
    1 can beef broth
    1 small can mushrooms
    2 Tbsp. cold water
    2 tsp. cornstarch
    salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    Mix ground beef, bread crumbs, salt, pepper and egg.
    Shape into 4 oval patties; brown in skillet for about 10 minutes.
    Add onion, broth and mushrooms.
    Heat to boiling.
    Reduce heat; cover and simmer 10 to 15 minutes.
    Remove patties.
    Heat liquid to boil.
    Mix cornstarch with small amount of water.
    Stir into boiling liquid.
    Boil for 1 minute.
    Serve over patties.
