Hush Puppies - cooking recipe

Ingredients

3/4 c. buttermilk
1 1/2 c. corn meal
1/2 c. flour
1 egg
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
2 Tbsp. sugar
1 small onion, chopped fine

Preparation

Mix together the first 7 ingredients.
Chopped onion may be added.
Drop 1/2 teaspoon at a time into hot oil.
Delicious with fish.
