English Tea Biscuits - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. mixed currants, raisins and yellow raisins
1 c. citron fruit mix
1 1/2 c. water
3 1/2 c. flour, sifted
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
dash of cloves
1 c. shortening
1 1/2 c. sugar
3 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
Grease cookie sheets.
In a saucepan, bring raisins, fruits and water to a boil.
Reduce heat and simmer gently until all water is absorbed.
Set aside and cool.
Sift dry ingredients together, minus the sugar.
Cream shortening with sugar until light and fluffy.
Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each.
Add vanilla.
