Drunken Chicken - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 chicken fryer, cut up or pheasant
    oil for frying
    1 c. flour
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. lemon pepper
    1 tsp. garlic salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1 onion, chopped
    1 c. sliced mushrooms
    2 cans beer
Preparation
    Mix flour with spices, roll chicken in seasoned flour and brown chicken in hot oil.
    Add onions and mushrooms.
    Cover with 2 cans beer, lower heat and simmer for 1/2 hour to 45 minutes, until chicken is tender.
    Remove chicken.
    Thicken liquid with 1 to 2 tablespoons cornstarch in 1/2 cup water.
    (Add more water, if needed, during cooking chicken.)
    Serve over rice or with mashed potatoes.
