Connie'S Raspberry Jam Strips - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter or margarine, softened
    1/2 c. white sugar
    1/2 c. brown sugar, packed
    1 egg
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 c. raspberry jam or jelly for fewer seeds
    Almond Glaze (below)
Preparation
    Mix butter, sugars, egg and vanilla.
    Stir in flour and baking powder.
    (If dough is soft, cover and refrigerate at least 1 hour.)
    Heat oven to 350\u00b0.
