Christmas Coffee Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. flour
1 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 c. cored, peeled and chopped apple
1 c. chopped fresh cranberries
1 stick unsalted butter, melted
1 egg, lightly beaten
1/2 c. light brown sugar
1/2 c. granulated sugar
1/4 tsp. ground cloves
1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/2 c. chopped walnuts
powdered sugar for dusting

Preparation

Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
Sift together flour, soda and salt; set aside.
Combine all remaining ingredients and mix well.
Stir in flour mixture.
Spread in a buttered 8-inch square baking pan. Bake 40 to 45 minutes until knife inserted in center comes out clean.
Let set 10 minutes; cut into squares.
Sift over powdered sugar and serve.
