Cream Cheese Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 small can crushed pineapple
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 pkg. Dream Whip or Pet or Birds Eye whip
    1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
    1 small pkg. Knox gelatine
Preparation
    Drain juice from pineapple.
    Add water, if necessary, to make cup.
    Add 1/2 cup sugar to juice; dissolve by heating.
    Do not boil.
    Warm just enough to dissolve.
