Red Velvet Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. shortening
    2 eggs
    3/4 tsp. salt
    3 tsp. vanilla
    2 1/4 c. sifted cake flour
    1 tsp. soda
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1/4 c. red food coloring
    2 tsp. cocoa
    1 c. buttermilk
    1 tsp. vinegar
Preparation
    Cream shortening and sugar.
    Add eggs and beat hard one minute.
    Add vanilla to buttermilk.
    Add alternately with dry ingredients to shortening mixture (beginning and ending with flour).
    Add vinegar, then food coloring. Mix well for 2 or 3 minutes.
    Bake in two 9-inch greased and floured cake pans at 350\u00b0 for 25 to 30 minutes.
