Old Fashioned Boiled Ham - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 bon-in ham shoulder
    whole cloves (I use around 4 or 5)
    1 bay leaf
Preparation
    Place ham in large kettle so you can cover with cold water. Add the bay leaf and cloves.
    Cover and boil gently for around 4 hours until tender, about 25 minutes per pound.
    Let ham remain in water about 2 or 3 hours.
    Ham is ready to eat.
