Corn Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. self-rising cornmeal
    1 egg
    1/2 c. buttermilk
    1 Tbsp. mayonnaise
    1/2 Tbsp. bacon grease or lard
Preparation
    Combine cornmeal, egg, buttermilk and mayonnaise to create batter. Put bacon grease into cold iron skillet and place in oven while oven is preheating to 450\u00b0. Remove skillet and pour half the hot bacon grease into the corn bread batter and stir. Pour batter into hot skillet and bake for 20 minutes.
