Red Beet Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. red beets
    4 Tbsp. vinegar
    4 Tbsp. water
    1/2 tsp. sugar
    2 tsp. caraway seed
    1 small onion, chopped
    1 tsp. ground clove
    1 bay leaf
    salt and pepper
    3 to 4 Tbsp. olive oil
Preparation
    Scrub beets and cook in salted water until tender.
    Cool and slice thinly.
    From other ingredients, prepare a marinade.
    Pour marinade over beets.
    Let soak for several hours.
