Soy Chicken - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 Chicken, cut up
    1 c. Soy sauce
    1 c. Water
    2 Tbsp. Oil
    1 tsp. Ginger
    1/2-1 c Sugar
    2 cloves Garlic
Preparation
    In a deep pan, melt the sugar in the soy sauce. Heat a frying pan and add oil, ginger and garlic. Fry the whole chicken until lightly browned. Place chicken in the pan with sugar and soy sauce, cover and cook slowly until tender.
    Turn from time to time to get an even brown. About 1 hour.
