Chicken In Spanish Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    2 1/2 to 3 lb. chicken pieces
    1/2 c. chopped onion
    1 clove garlic, minced
    1 (1 lb. 12 oz.) can tomatoes
    1 bay leaf
    1/2 tsp. celery seed
    1/8 tsp. leaf sage, crumpled
    1/2 c. water
    1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Melt butter or margarine in large skillet.
    Brown chicken on both sides; remove from pan.
    Saute onion and garlic in fat left in pan for 3 minutes or until tender.
    Add remaining ingredients. Return chicken to pan.
    Cover and simmer for 30 minutes.
