Sour Cream Velvet Frosting - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (6 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips
    1/4 c. butter or margarine
    1/2 c. sour cream
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/4 tsp. salt
    2 1/2 to 2 3/4 c. confectioners sugar
Preparation
    Melt chips and butter over hot (not boiling) water.
    Remove from hot water and blend in sour cream, vanilla and salt. Gradually beat in enough sugar to make a frosting of correct spreading consistency.
    Will cover a 9 x 13-inch cake.
