Stewed Paprika Chicken - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 whole chicken, cut up
    6 whole onions
    salt
    pepper
    1 Tbsp. paprika
    1 can tomato soup (undiluted)
    1 lb. (2 cans) Veg-All, drained or 2 lb. frozen vegetables
    1/2 c. sour cream
Preparation
    Melt 2 tablespoons shortening in large kettle, but do not brown chicken.
    Put sliced onions on top and paprika, salt and pepper. Cook about 1 hour.
    Add soup and vegetables.
    Add cream just before serving.
    May be thickened (with flour and water); serve with dumplings or hot rice.
