English Tea Scones - cooking recipe
Ingredients

8 oz. self-rising flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 oz. shortening (do not use margarine)
1 oz. sugar
milk (to make soft dough)
2 Tbsp. currants or raisins
1 egg, beaten
Preparation

Mix flour and salt in basin.
Rub in shortening.
Mix in sugar and fruit.
Stir in egg and milk, sufficient to make a soft dough.
