Taco Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 or 2 pie crusts
1 lb. ground beef
3/4 c. onion bits
1 pkg. taco seasoning
1 can refried beans (8 oz.)
1 jar taco sauce (8 oz.)
1 c. (4 oz.) shredded Cheddar cheese
shredded lettuce
chopped tomatoes
Preparation

Preheat oven and baking sheet to 400\u00b0, partially baking crust for 10 minutes.
Cool; reduce oven temperature to 350\u00b0.
In a large skillet, brown ground beef and onion; drain fat.
Stir in taco seasoning mix.
In a small mixing bowl, combine refried beans and 1/2 cup taco sauce.
For deep dish crust, layer one-half of the seasoned meat mixture in bottom of pie crust and top with one-half of refried beans.
Repeat layers.
For regular crust, place one-half of the seasoned meat mixture in bottom of crust and each with one-half of refried beans.
Sprinkle cheese on top; bake 25 minutes.
Remove from oven; cool 10 minutes.
Top with lettuce, tomatoes and remaining taco seasoning.
Makes six servings; 25 minutes to prepare and 35 minutes baking time.
Cool time:
10 minutes.
