Peanut Patties - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 1/2 c. sugar
2/3 c. white Karo syrup
1 c. milk
2 1/2 to 3 c. raw peanuts
4 Tbsp. butter
1 c. powdered sugar
4 to 5 drops red food coloring
Preparation

Cook first 4 ingredients
in heavy pan over medium heat until soft ball stage, using candy thermometer.
Add butter and powdered sugar.
Stir until it gets real thick.
Add red food coloring.
Spread on cookie sheet.
Let it harden, then break into pieces.
