Date And Nut Loaf - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 c. flour
2 eggs
1 c. sugar
1/4 c. brown sugar
4 Tbsp. melted butter or margarine
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. raisins
1/2 c. chopped dates
1 1/2 c. water
2 Tbsp. baking soda
Preparation

Measure raisins and dates together.
In a saucepan, measure water and bring to a boil.
Add baking soda and the raisins and dates.
Drain liquid and keep aside.
Mix first six ingredients together in a bowl and mix with an electric mixer until mixed well. Mixture will be lumpy.
Add the liquid from the raisin mixture and mix again.
Finally add the raisins, dates and nuts.
Place in a loaf pan which has been greased and cook for one hour at a temperature of 375\u00b0.
