Tomato Cakes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 qt. jar canned tomatoes
    2 eggs, beaten
    1 pkg. crackers (1/4 lb.)
    salt and pepper
    1 tsp. sugar
Preparation
    Mash whole
    tomatoes in bowl;
    add eggs, crackers, salt and pepper to
    taste,
    and
    sugar.
    May
    need more crackers to make mixture
    just
    stiff
    enough to hold together like salmon cakes. Fry until
    golden on each side.
    A different dish with bacon or ham for breakfast or lunch.
