Apple Butter - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 c. applesauce (unsweetened)
    7 1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 bottle Certo
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. allspice
Preparation
    Put applesauce in large pan.
    Add sugar, cinnamon and allspice.
    Cook at a full rolling boil for 2 minutes, stirring carefully.
    Remove from heat and at once stir in Certo.
    Stir until well mixed.
    Skim off foam with metal spoon.
    Put in scalded glasses and top with melted paraffin.
    Yields about 10 to 12 medium glasses.
