Banana Nut Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. shortening
    4 eggs (reserve one egg white for frosting)
    2 1/2 c. plain flour
    1 c. mashed bananas
    1 tsp. soda, dissolved in buttermilk
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. buttermilk
    1 c. broken pecans
Preparation
    Cream together sugar and shortening.
    Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each.
    Add flour alternating with milk and soda. Add banana and nuts; beat well. Put into layer pans that have been greased and floured.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 25 minutes.
