French Onion Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 large onions, thinly sliced and quartered
    1/4 c. butter or margarine
    2 tsp. all-purpose flour
    6 c. regular-strength beef broth
    1/4 c. dry white wine
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. white pepper
    garlic powder
    6 to 8 slices French bread, toasted and buttered
    1 c. shredded Swiss cheese
Preparation
    In a 3-quart microproof casserole dish, cook onion and butter on High 10 to 12 minutes, stirring once.
    Stir in flour and cook, uncovered, on High 1 minute.
    Stir in broth, wine, salt and pepper.
    Cook on High for 8 minutes.
