Pork Chops And Rice - cooking recipe
Ingredients

6 to 8 pork chops
1 tsp. shortening
1 1/2 c. uncooked Minute rice
3 c. hot water
1 envelope dry onion soup mix
salt and pepper to taste
Preparation

Brown pork chops in shortening.
Remove from skillet and add water and onion soup mix to drippings.
Stir and bring to a boil. Spread rice in bottom of 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking pan.
Pour water mixture over rice.
Place browned pork chops on top of rice. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
Cover with foil.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 60 minutes.
Yields 4 to 6 servings.
