Applesauce Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. flour
1 tsp. soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. cloves
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1 c. nuts, chopped
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 c. butter or oleo
1 c. sugar
1 egg, beaten
1 c. raisins
1 c. thick applesauce
Preparation

Sift flour and measure.
Add soda, salt and spices.
Sift together three times.
Cream butter and egg, gradually adding sugar.
Beat well.
Add nuts and raisins.
Add flour alternately with applesauce.
Bake at 350\u00b0 in 8 x 4-inch loaf pan.
(For two 10-inch layers, make recipe 1 1/2 times.)
