Shrimp Creole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 large onion, chopped
    1 clove garlic, minced
    2 Tbsp. oil or butter
    1/2 c. chopped celery
    1 (14 oz.) can diced Del Monte stewed tomatoes
    1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
    1 c. water
    2 Tbsp. cornstarch
    2 Tbsp. parsley flakes
    1 1/2 tsp. sugar
    1 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    1 lb. shrimp, cooked, peeled and deveined
Preparation
    In
    large
    stir-fry skillet place oil
    or
    butter.
    Add onion, garlic, celery, tomatoes, tomato paste, water, parsley, sugar, salt
    and pepper.
    Cook on medium heat for
    15
    to
    20 minutes. Add shrimp.
    Add cornstarch to 1/4
    cup
    cold
    water and stir into mixture to thicken. Cook until thickened.
    Serve over steamed rice.
    Serves 4.
