Tropical Fruit Cake - cooking recipe

3 c. Walnuts
2 pkg. (6 1/2 oz.) Pitted Dates
1 c. Maraschino Cherries (red or green)
3/4 c. Sifted Flour
3/4 c. Sugar
1/2 tsp. Baking Powder
1/2 tsp. Salt
3 Eggs
1 tsp. Vanilla
Preparation

Grease a loaf pan and line the sides and bottom with waxed paper.
In a large bowl, place the nuts, dates, and fruit.
Sift the dry ingredients together.
Beat eggs and vanilla until fluffy. Pour over the fruit mixture.
Bake 1 hour and 45 minutes in a slow oven at 300\u00b0.
Peel off the paper, cool before cutting.
