Fried Green Tomatoes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. self-rising flour
    1/4 c. cornmeal
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    3/4 c. milk (buttermilk may be used)
    1 egg
    3 or 4 green tomatoes, cut into 1/4-inch slices
Preparation
    Mix dry ingredients.
    Dip slices into blended egg and milk. Coat with dry mixture and fry until crisp (in enough oil to cover the coated tomato).
    Turn once.
    Serve hot.
