Congo Bars - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 3/4 c. flour
2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
2/3 c. shortening
2 1/4 c. brown sugar
3 eggs
6 oz. chocolate chips
1/2 c. nuts
Preparation

Melt shortening in pan.
Turn off.
Stir in brown sugar and cool.
Beat in eggs one at a time until well mixed.
Add dry ingredients, chocolate chips and chopped nuts.
Mix well (dough will be thick).
Spread in 9 x 13-inch pan which has been greased and bake 25 to 30 minutes at 350\u00b0.
