Oatmeal Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/4 c. boiling water
    1 c. oatmeal
    1/2 c. margarine, softened
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 1/2 c. flour
    1 tsp. soda
    3/4 tsp. cinnamon
    1 c. firmly packed brown sugar
    2 eggs
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. nutmeg
Preparation
    Pour boiling water over oatmeal; let stand 20 minutes.
    Beat butter until creamy, gradually adding sugars and beat until fluffy.
    Blend in vanilla and eggs; add oatmeal mixture.
    Mix well; add remaining ingredients and mix well.
    Pour batter into a greased 9 x 12-inch pan.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 50 minutes.
