French Toast Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1-10 ounce long thin loaf French bread
    8 large eggs
    3 cup of milk
    4 teaspoon granulated sugar
    3/4 teaspoon salt
    1 teaspoon vanilla extract
    Margarine or butter cut into small pieces
    Cinnamon (Optional)
Preparation
    Grease (Butter) 13x9x2 baking pan, cut bread into inch thick slices and arrange in one layer in bottom of pan.
    In a large bowl, beat eggs with remaining ingredients except butter.
    When thoroughly mixed pour over bread in pan.
    Cover with foil and refrigerate 4 to 36 hours.
    To bake, uncover pan dot with butter and bake at 350 for 45-50 minutes.
    Remove, let stand 5 minutes. Serve with maple syrup or honey.
