Lentil Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 lb. dried lentils
    6 c. water
    2 carrots, chopped or sliced
    1/2 c. sliced green onions
    1 clove garlic, crushed
    1 1/2 c. tomato juice
    1/2 c. minced parsley
    1 Tbsp. margarine
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    dash of pepper
    1/2 tsp. dried oregano
Preparation
    Combine lentils and water in kettle or stock pot.
    Cook 30 minutes, or until lentils are tender.
    Add remaining ingredients. Bring to a boil; reduce heat and simmer just until carrots are tender.
    Check seasonings and serve.
