Mom'S Favorite Bean Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. green beans (regular cut)
    1 lb. yellow wax beans
    1 lb. red kidney beans
    1/2 c. chopped green pepper
    3/4 c. sugar
    2/3 c. cider vinegar
    1/2 to 1 tsp. salt
    1/4 to 1/2 tsp. black pepper
    1/2 can garbanzo beans (chickpeas; optional)
    1/3 c. salad oil (Wesson)
Preparation
    Drain beans and mix together.
    Mix into a bowl or jar the chopped pepper, sugar, vinegar, oil, salt and pepper and pour over beans.
    Marinate, covered, overnight. Stir a few times. Double or triple the recipe for large picnics.
    Recipe alone serves 10 helpings.
