Oatmeal Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. brown sugar
    1 c. white sugar
    1 c. shortening
    2 tsp. vanilla
    2 eggs
    2 Tbsp. water
    2 c. flour
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. baking soda
    3 c. quick oats
Preparation
    Cream together brown sugar, white sugar, shortening, vanilla, eggs and water.
    Add flour (unsifted), baking powder and baking soda.
    Beat thoroughly.
    Add quick oats and mix by hand until blended.
    Place small balls on cookie sheet and bake at 375\u00b0 for 7 or 8 minutes.
    Do not overbake.
