Chess Squares - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 sticks butter (softened)
    1 lb. brown sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 to 1 c. chopped nuts
    4 eggs
    1/2 c. white sugar
    2 c. flour
Preparation
    Combine all ingredients.
    Bake in a greased and floured 9 x 13-inch pan at 325\u00b0 for 35 minutes.
