Buffet Cheese Scalloped Carrots - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    12 sliced, pared carrots
    1/4 c. margarine
    1 minced small onion
    1/4 c. flour
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. dry mustard
    2 c. milk
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    1/4 tsp. celery salt
    1/2 lb. sharp American cheese slices
    2 c. buttered bread crumbs
Preparation
    Slice carrots thinly; cook 15 to 20 minutes in water, covered. Melt butter and cook onion; stir in flour, salt, mustard, then milk.
    Cook, stirring until smooth.
    Add pepper and celery salt. In 2 quart casserole, arrange layer of carrots, then cheese, ending with carrots.
    Pour sauce over carrots/cheese.
    Top with crumbs.
    Bake uncovered 25 minutes at 350\u00b0.
    Serves 8.
