Bread And Butter Pickles - cooking recipe
Ingredients

25 to 30 medium cukes, sliced thin
8 large white onions, sliced
2 large red sweet peppers, chopped
1/2 c. salt (canning)
5 c. cider vinegar
5 c. sugar
2 Tbsp. mustard seed
2 Tbsp. celery seed
1 tsp. turmeric
1/2 tsp. cloves
Preparation

Combine cukes, onions and peppers.
Add salt.
Let stand 3 hours; drain.
Put vinegar, sugar and spices in large kettle. Bring to boil, then add drained vegetables.
Heat thoroughly, but do not boil.
Pack hot into hot sterile jars; seal.
