Curious Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 pkg. German chocolate cake mix
1 1/3 c. water
3 eggs
3/4 c. butter, creamed
1 pkg. or 14 oz. caramels
1/3 c. plus 2 Tbsp. evaporated milk
1 pkg. or 12 oz. chocolate chips
1 c. chopped nuts (optional)
whipped cream or topping
Preparation

Combine the cake mix, eggs, water and butter.
Blend until smooth.
Pour one-half into greased 9 x 13-inch pan.
Bake 15 minutes at 350\u00b0.
Melt the caramels with evaporated milk over low heat.
Pour over cake when removed from oven.
(Do not spread all the way to edges.)
Sprinkle chocolate chips over caramels and sprinkle nuts over chips.
Pour rest of batter on top and bake for 30 minutes at 350\u00b0.
Do not overbake.
Cool and top with topping. Refrigerate.
