Ingredients

1 c. Spry or Crisco
2/3 c. sugar
1 1/4 tsp. salt
2 tsp. vanilla extract
2 eggs, unbeaten
2 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
Preparation

Put first 5 ingredients into a mixing bowl and beat until smooth.
Stir in flour until smooth.
Roll small portions of dough 1/8 to 1/4 inch thick on a floured cloth or board.
Cut with Easter cookie cutters.
Place on lightly-greased cookie sheets and bake in a preheated 375\u00b0 oven for 6 to 8 minutes or until a light brown. Makes 4 to 5 dozen, depending on size of cutters.
