Brandon'S Microwave Scalloped Potatoes - cooking recipe

6 medium potatoes
1/4 c. butter or margarine
1 Tbsp. dried onion flakes
1 tsp. pepper
1/4 c. flour
2 c. milk
salt to taste
Preparation

Bake potatoes 10 to 11 minutes on High until potatoes are almost tender. Let stand 5 minutes; peel and slice.
In a 4-cup measure, heat butter, onion, salt and pepper 1 to 1 1/2 minutes on High until butter is melted. Stir in flour; gradually add milk, stirring until smooth.
Heat 6 to 7 minutes on power level 7 until sauce is smooth.
In a 2-quart casserole dish, layer potatoes and sauce (you can also add cooked ham, if desired, at this time). Cover with plastic wrap.
Microwave on power level 7.
Set time 14 to 15 minutes until heated through.
Let stand, covered, 5 minutes before serving.
