Grandma Ruth'S Turkey - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    fresh lemons
    1 large onion, stuck with cloves
    2 bay leaves
    1 tsp. thyme
    1 Tbsp. oil
    salt and pepper
    2 to 3 c. water
    1/2 c. chopped carrots
    1/2 c. celery
Preparation
    Wash turkey.
    Squeeze lemon juice and rub on skin.
    Brush with oil and salt and pepper.
    Put other ingredients tucked in or around turkey.
    Pour water in pan.
    Cover with foil.
    Cook according to directions.
    Remove foil for the last hour of cooking to brown. This recipe works with a whole turkey or just a turkey breast.
