Seven Layer Refrigerator Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 bowl lettuce, shredded
    1/2 c onion, chopped
    1/2 cup celery, chopped
    1/2 cup green bell pepper
    1 small can English peas, drained
    1 cup mayonnaise
    1 tsp. Sugar
    8 oz Cheddar cheese, shredded
    Bacon bits
Preparation
    Shred lettuce in a medium sized bowl with a tight fitting lid.
    Mix together onion, celery, and bell pepper.
    Place these is a layer on top of lettuce.
    Add English peas as next layer.
    Beat mayonnaise and sugar together, spread on top of English pease. Sprinkle bacon bits on top of mayonnaise.
    sprinkle cheese on top. Cover tightly and refrigerate for 24 hours.
