Creamed Chicken - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    6 Tbsp. flour
    1 1/2 c. milk
    1 1/2 c. chicken broth
    3/4 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    1/2 tsp. ground savory
    2 c. cooked chicken, cut in pieces
    1 c. cooked peas
    1/2 c. almonds, blanched and slivered
Preparation
    Melt butter in a large saucepan; stir in flour.
    Mix in liquids and seasonings.
    Cook over moderate heat, stirring constantly, until smooth and thickened.
    Add chicken, peas and almonds.
    Continue cooking until heated through.
    Serve hot in patty shells or over biscuits.
