Strawberry Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 baskets strawberries
    3/4 c. sugar
    2 1/2 Tbsp. cornstarch
    pinch of salt
    1 Tbsp. lemon juice
    1 tsp. red food coloring
    1 c. plus 3 Tbsp. boiling water
Preparation
    In baked pie shell, slice berries in half. Save some whole ones to place on top.
    Put sugar, cornstarch, salt, lemon juice and food coloring in pan on low heat.
    Pour boiling water into pan.
    Stir to keep from lumping. Cook until semi-thick and clear. Pour over all your berries. Chill.
    May be topped with whipped cream.
