Sauerkraut - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 cans kraut (do not drain)
    1/2 c. green pepper and pimentos (to give color; as much as you like)
    1/2 c. onions (I put more), chopped fine
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 c. salad oil
Preparation
    Mix sugar and salad oil.
    Combine all ingredients; let set 24 hours.
    Be sure liquid covers kraut even if you have to add water. When ready to use, put in colander and let drain.
    Save liquid for the leftovers.
    Keeps well for several days.
