Nuga Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 eggs, separated
    1/2 lb. butter or margarine
    2 c. sugar
    1 lb. self-rising flour
    1 c. buttermilk
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 lb. seeded raisins, chopped fine
Preparation
    Flour raisins to keep from sticking together.
    Cream sugar and butter.
    Add flour, milk, egg yolks, raisins and vanilla.
    Fold in beaten egg whites.
    Makes 3 or 4 layers.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 until done.
